The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is Eastern Ontario's Answer to Cancer and is uniquely focused on increasing cancer survival rates by raising funds and awareness for a variety of cancer care programs including: prevention, screening and early diagnosis, treatment, socio-psychological and end-of-life support. We also invest in local research initiatives, both laboratory and clinical. We are the rallying point for people who want to be active in the fight for cancer survivorship in Eastern Ontario.

Use of Proceeds

The new Answer to Cancer Lottery will raise funds to support critical cancer treatment throughout Eastern Ontario. Unlike other province-wide lotteries, every dollar raised through ticket sales stays right here in our community to support cancer treatment, research, patient care and education. When you buy a ticket not only do you have a chance to win great prizes, but you also help to make a difference in the quality and timeliness of cancer care right here at home.

Proceeds from the Answer to Cancer Lottery will be directed to areas that are recognized as priorities by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, Cancer Care Ontario, the Champlain District Regional Cancer Program and especially local cancer care leaders. Our    focus is on programs that are of the greatest concern to our community, particularly the reduction of wait times and access to close-to-home, world-class treatment. In addition, through a new partnership between the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and the Sens Foundation a portion of the funds raised by the lottery will also be directed to Roger's House, a pediatric palliative and respite care facility.
